The main thing to keep in your mind when thinking about your venue is how your going to dress it and how you want the first impression to look to your guests.
Venue dressing is one of the most commonly discussed subjects when entering your venue, second to your dress of course!
What look are you going for?…Is it chabby chic, diamante bling, or maybe soft textures…the overall look all has a part to play on giving your guests the impression that you intended for.
Some brides find choosing your colour scheme easy however other’s like me just love bright colours and would struggle to dwindle it down to one choice! Pink is said to represent unconditional love and understanding, whilst purple is a passionate colour, signifying devotion and luxury.
You may also find it easier to look at seasonal colours, for example a spring wedding may see a lot of pinks, purples and navy blues, light blue tones and greens, whereas greens, reds, burgandy’s and golds would be more suited to an Autumn wedding, these mixed with cream tones and browns make for a very classical overall look.
At the moment the biggest look is using many tones of the same colour, however the colours for 2015 seem to be looking very vibrant with some stunning colour combinations being used!
We did a recent wedding at The Coniston Hotel which was all about soft lace textures! We did a soft lace top table drape, with a magical fairy lit backdrop and chair covers with soft lace ivory sashes and a pearl broach. Teamed with soft pink and ivory flowers the end result looked exquisit!
Look out for our upcoming blog on our latest weddings including images of our nude sateen hooded bows at Rudding Park Hotel!
Here at Creative the team have been working with our latest frenzy, Tartan. We have worked with Tartan before using it within corporate events and parties however it seems to be making an appearance on the wedding scene.
With Tartan’s ranging through colour and style here at Creative we have to specific Tartans that we work with.
We are working tirelessly to come up with new ideas and textures for our wedding collection and already the Tartan has been very popular. Tartan is usually used to represent heritage and culture however more and more it is apparent that people are choosing the fabric through choice with no family history within the tartan.
Using double Tartan sashes here we have created a hood with pear cluster detailing.
Here we have used Tartan within the chair sashes but also with table runners to add a little more colour. It highlights the center piece and again just adds a touch more of the tartan so it doesn’t get lost within the room.
Team Creative are ready and waiting to transform your wedding and ensure your venue looks as stunning as possible!!
Using contrasts such as black and white can give a formal and glamorous feel.
Although, if you would like to throw in another colour as an ascent colour, such as red, pink and blue, it would brighten your room up slightly. Centre pieces or bridesmaids flowers could be in this ascent colour to add another dimension to the look.
If you’re looking for a soft and feminine wedding, but still striking, black and white is the theme for you.
Black and White work as one of those ‘timeless classics’ that will never go out of style, it will ooze elegance forever!
See how Team Creative can transform your venue by theming. We have hundreds of colours, materials and styles we can use!

A golf and charity ball memory of Janine Thompson, a 41-year-old mother of two who lost her life to breast cancer, was held at Shaw Hill Golf and Country Club, Whittle-le-Woods on Friday the 27th of September.
The annual event is organised by Janine’s brother Andrew Walker who supports breast cancer charity BootOutBC tirelessly.
An amazing £12,500 was raised, which will go towards purchasing new diagnostic equipment for the Lancashire Teaching Hospital in Chorley.
Our White Lycra Chair Covers with alternating Hot Pink Organza & Cadbury Organza Bowed Sash brightened the room instantly, especially with the matching Hot Pink & Purple napkins.
Team Creative also covered Shaw Hill’s curtains as they did not fit in with the Ball’s theming. We covered them in White Voile and added Hot Pink & Cadbury Organza Rosettes for the Curtain Ties.
We added more pretty pink detail with the four pillars making the room even more exciting! Our luxurious fabric backdrop also gave the room an amazing soft focal point, and with extra Hot Pink flowers it tied in beautifully with the rest of the chic and fabulous room dressings!
Well done to all involved, BootOutBC is such a good cause!
Starting with the civil ceremony, we created this soft peaceful feel using our Cappuccino sashes on Shireburn Arms own chairs. We tied the pew ends to the side to create an aisle feel and finished with our Ivory Aisle carpet and co-ordinating petals.
This scheme really complimented the already beautiful venue and really did create a lovely atmosphere for civil ceremony.
Team Creative welcome any additional items such as personal touches. Here we have attached a Mr & Mrs sign to the top table draping to add some personalisation for the couple, almost like a home touch.
And then, in the suite of the wedding breakfast we continued the soft neutral scheme with our cappuccino top table drape and matching sashes to Shireburn Arms own wicker chairs for the top table. A lovely touch.
We have also touched up the curtains behind the top table adding swaging across the top to add more texture and co ordination and also bows around the middle to finish off.
Our team work endlessly to make sure every wedding we deliver looks amazing, we treat every wedding as if it is our own and make sure all final touches are perfect ready for your entrance.
